Cox Communication List Of Supported Modems (2025)

A compatible cable modem is required to use your Cox Business Internet service. You can rent a modem from Cox Business or purchase your own from a third-party retailer.

All modems and gateways must meet the following criteria to be certified for use with Cox Business Internet.

Compatible with your Cox Business Internet package
DOCSIS 3.1 and IPv6 compliant
Reasonably clean and sanitary
In good working order

If you attempt to use a modem that isn't compatible with Cox Business Internet service as listed below or isn't in good working order, the modem cannot be installed. Cox reserves the right to charge for any additional work caused by this attempt.

Although the DOCSIS 2.0 and 3.0 devices may still be in use with some Cox Business Internet services, they can't be installed on any accounts. If you're using a DOCSIS 2.0 or DOCSIS 3.0 device below, then contact us to discuss upgrade options.
