WHAT: Dayforce <> Active Directory Integration
Over the past few months, the IT team has been working on integrating data from Dayforce into Active Directory. The goals of this integration are to:
- Automate processes such as:
- Updating email distribution lists
- Software license management for certain on- and off-boarding processes
- Improve data consistency and accuracy:
- Consistent location and department naming conventions
- Real-time employee information updates (i.e., display name, job title, department, and primary work location)
- Increase system security
WHEN: Effective immediately
Current schedule: Monday – Friday, every 4 hours
- New hires (new account creation employees on Lightwave's IT support)
- Accounts will be created automatically for full-time employees only
- Please submit an IT helpdesk ticket to create accounts for part-time and temporary employees
- Updates (display name, job title, department, primary work location, distribution lists)
- Terminations (disable accounts)
WHY: This integration will ensure that employee information in Active Directory stays up-to-date, which will increase system security by promptly disabling accounts for off-boarded team members. In addition, the integration will significantly reduce the manual work required to create new user accounts and update user information for all company accounts that utilize single-sign-on (SSO).
