Adding a new system to Alerts in FreshService

Freshservice Alerts can be used for many things. Â The simplest is the one described below. Â Email ingestion. Â You can think of the FreshService Alerts window as a running event log of all alerts and issues reported from our various systems.
To Create a New Alert
- Go to Help.lightwavedental.com and login with your credentials.
- Navigate to Admin(1) - IT Services(2) - Monitoring Rules(3)
- Next click "Add Monitoring Tool"
- Select "Email" from the options
- Give the tool a proper name(1) and copy the email address (2)Â to be used in the system you are setting up alerts from
- Paste the email address in application you wish alerts to be sent from and click save.  Below example is EasyDmarc                   .
- Click Save in Fresh Service and you should be all set.Â

Notes: Depending on the system you can trigger an alert to test the email integration. Â If not you may just have to sit back and wait for an event to happen.
