How to Export Computer Asset Data from Freshservice

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to export asset data from Freshservice. By following these steps, agents can easily export a comprehensive list of asset information such as asset type, end of life, warranty expiry date, serial number, OS, OS Version, IP address, acquisition date, and more.

Navigate to https://help.lightwavedental.com/ and log into your Freshservice account.
Select "Inventory" from the menu on the left.
Click "Export"
Click the "Asset Type" field. This will allow you to export more detailed data related to the specific Asset Type.
Click "All Assets" and search for the Asset Type to export (e.g., "Computer").
Click the "Include child asset types" field. This will include any assets in a sub-category of the parent asset type (e.g., Laptops, Desktops, etc.).
Select any additional fields you would like to include in the export. Examples: Asset Tag, End of Life, Product, Warranty Expiry Date, Vendor, Serial Number, OS, OS Version, Memory (GB), Acquisition Date and more.
Click "Export"
Your asset data will be sent to your email. Note: you must download the file from the link in the email. Only one export can be accessed at a time. This means that you should wait until you have downloaded the file before running another export from Freshservice.
